Your Kid Asks "Will AI Take All the Jobs?"
The belief that the future can be better and that what you do now has something to do with it.
Your kid asks directly about their future, what jobs will exist, whether their skills will matter, whether there's a point to building expertise in a world where AI keeps advancing.
This is the question of their generation and the honest answer is that nobody fully knows. The worst response is false certainty in either direction.
Don't reassure. Don't catastrophize. Engage the question honestly. That's what they're actually asking for.

"AI will never replace humans — don't worry about it.": A false reassurance that kids can already see through. It destroys credibility for everything else you say on the topic.
"The world your generation is inheriting is genuinely uncertain. That's not a reason to give up — it's a reason to build yourself into someone who can handle uncertainty. And that person gets built right now, in small ways, every day."
